I was 2 ½ hours without getting tired feet, mesmerized by the flow of words, the gestures, the pauses. The contents of the speech were no doubt related to my views on the world, but it was not what I was hypnotized. It was the oratorical skills of man, the choice of breaks, the beat, the performance of the voice, louder, then confidence, then
ironic ... And I believe that many were under the same spell, applause, standing ovation at the end. When Vendola stopped talking around me (myself included) there was a loud sigh (ahh ...). And then the spell was broken, we realized that we had said wonderful things but not what we had said we were going to feel, what we should do in order to work. After the applause and joy, the murmur in the room was panic and confusion, the "boss" was gone and had left us without a glimmer of suggestions on how to begin the "wonderful" project that we had to guess. We had been seduced and abandoned.
But charisma is more strong disappointment at the abandonment, so any appearance of Vendola today (not just on TV) we seek, we refer to him for being invaded by the charisma that can make us dream the dream "useful," although at the end of our brain are not absolutely certain what it is or that it is the same for everyone. But we trust the head ... so much so that we went to vote for the Left and Freedom believing in the project of course, but also, I think, mesmerized by the charisma of the garment.
